Sarah Loomis works for the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) as an instructional technology coach in Kaiserslautern, Germany. She was selected as DoDEA’s State Teacher of the Year for 2015 and as a Microsoft Innovative Education Expert in December, 2015. Being an instructional technology coach provides Sarah an opportunity to plan and co-teach with her peers, build and lead professional development, and learn from the students and adults she works with daily. Fostering curiosity in all learners, Sarah enjoys working collaboratively to design lessons that embed technology in meaningful ways. Before joining DoDEA, she was a middle school math teacher in the Matanuska-Susitna School District in Alaska.
