Teach Plus Texas Policy Fellow. She teaches 10-12th grade professional communications at Obra D. Tompkins High School, in Katy, Texas, where she also assists the speech and debate team. Prior to teaching professional communications, she was a special education teacher. Scoie is a member of the Association of Texas Professional Educators (ATPE) and serves as ATPE Campus Representative, 2019 ATPE Campus Representative of the Year and 2019-2020 ATPE Leadership Fellow. She graduated from Southern University and A&M College with a bachelor's in rehabilitation services and received her master's in community health from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.">
